Grading technology

Hultafors - Ireland

Most manufacturers of measuring tapes are using large wheels when grading, and then press the graduation by rolling off the scale on top of a steel band. This technique is easy to work with, but it can be some variations in the measurement scale because of the difficulty of getting a steady supply of steel band relative to the wheel. These variations only makes the achievement of EU Class II.

Hultafors measuring tapes are graduated primarily using inkjet technology. A print head applying graduation by typing the desired gradation.

The surface layer of matte polyester coating suppresses reflections - the difference is clearly visible against competing products. This technology affords a level of accuracy that makes our long and short tapes compliant with EU Class I requirements.

Measure with precision

The most important consideration when choosing a tape measure is precision. And, of course, whether the tape is a smart and adroit tool to use on the job.

We place considerable emphasis on these considerations during the manufacturing process and have introduced a quality system that is certified in accordance with ISO 9001.

Make sure you measure with precision!
